Tune: There'll Always be an Ulster/Our Union Jack

There shall always be New England,

And New England must be free,

As long as there are Yankees to uphold such loyalty,

So Union Jack, and Maple Leaf, Red Hand, and our Pine Flag,

Fly against the redneck scum: commitments not a brag,

(war-time or: and dare trench, flame, and crag)

Chorus:

There shall always be New England,

And New England must be free,

As long as we united stand true to our loyalty.

There shall always be New England, as free loyal men prevail,

To keep our Great Pine Tree upright from fiends that should assail,

We’ll keep our nation’s watchword, and its way shall still maintain,

Against the redneck hatchet-men, our corpses their fell gain.

(or: for their gain)

There shall always be New England,

A beacon which has stood,

To hoist the Pine of Liberty whenever that we could,

The crown granted our charter, to our forefathers of proof,

(or: of yore)

For loyalty and sovereignty New England holds a truth.

(or: New England shews the more)
